From Deep Purple's 2018 Japan tour, the first night of the tour, held at Makuhari Messe on October 14th, has been completely recorded with ultra-high-quality audience recording! While Makuhari Messe isn't exactly known for its acoustics, this was the perfect venue for a quality recording! This ultra-high-quality recording captures the entire live performance in perfect balance from the seats in the venue.

The mature rhythm section of Roger Glover and Ian Paice. The masterful solo parts of Steve Morse and Don Airey. And a passionate performance by frontman Ian Gillan that truly embodies "Deep Purple." This is the definitive recording of the final Japanese performance by this legendary hard rock band, who reached the height of their maturity. While this tour is titled "The Long Goodbye Tour," there's apparently some disagreement among the band members as to whether it should be considered a "farewell tour." There are also reports in the media that this is a farewell tour for Steve Morse, the virtuoso who has supported the band since Richie left. Please enjoy this final Japan performance for Deep Purple with Steve Morse at least!
