After a performance in London in early May, Clapton tested positive for COVID-19, postponing part of the tour. The first night of the rescheduled performance at the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy, on October 9, 2022, is now fully recorded in ultimate audience sound.
The bonus disc includes a Blu-ray disc featuring high-definition audience footage captured with exceptionally stable camerawork.
The sound quality is superb, with Clapton's guitar centered, and the instruments played by Nathan East, Doyle Bramhall II, Sonny Emory, Chris Stainton, Paul Carrack, and others are recorded in ultra-high quality with excellent stereo and wide range.
They performed the opening number "Tearing Us Apart," which was included in their US tour in September, the melodic, memorable "River Of Tears," stunning solos on "I Shot The Sheriff," and acoustic versions of "Layla," "Tears In Heaven," and "Country Boy."
This moving performance was packed with highlights, including their first performance of Elmore James's "The Sky Is Crying" since 1984.
