This disc captures the entirety of their first Japan performance, a one-night-only show held at Daikanyama UNIT on March 18, 2013, with ultra-high-quality audience recording. Naturally, tickets for this sold-out premiere live performance were completely lost, and the sizzling two-hour performance has been captured in stunning sound, thanks to 24-bit digital remastering of the original, high-quality master from the XAVEL label.
The simultaneous live streaming online broadcast ended abruptly during the encore "You Saved Me," due to the performance's unexpectedly intense duration of over two hours. However, this complete release captures the entire performance, from the grand finale climax of "Ain't Messin' Round," which even featured the Stones' "Satisfaction," to the scorching ending of the show. The sound quality is also superb, capturing Gary's guitar work and soulful vocals in perfect balance. The sound quality, which realistically conveys the temperature and atmosphere of the venue, is truly a gem, incomparable to compressed mono streaming footage. The incandescent live stage, featuring artists from Jimi Hendrix to Albert King, is a new frontier in blues music, pioneered by an orthodox guitar hero that is needed in this modern era.
