Peter Gabriel launched the WOMAD FESTIVAL, a world music festival, on October 2, 1982, and for the occasion, the original Genesis reunited for one night. Steve Hackett only participated for the encore, but the fact that all five members of Genesis were together immediately sold out, making this a truly special live performance. In 1981, they had released "Abacab," which had already transcended the boundaries of progressive rock and gained popularity in the pop field. This return to the past for just one night was truly a legendary revival!
