Definitive Missing Studio Recordings from Appetite for Destruction & Lies Era

This collection includes demos and studio outtakes not included in the official Super Deluxe Edition box set of the classic "Appetite for Destruction."

Understood by all as the most impactful debut album of all time, 1987's "Appetite for Destruction" continues to receive numerous pre-album demos and studio outtakes, dating back to the vinyl era. The 2018 release of the official Super Deluxe Edition box set, which included the core track, the 1986 Sound City Session, gave the impression that this collection was finally coming to an end. However, many recordings that were not included in the Super Deluxe Edition still exist, and this release brings together previously unreleased demos, jam sessions, and singles, including some previously unreleased material, and updates as much of the recording data as possible, making this a definitive collection! The first five tracks on Disc 1 are from 1985's Mystic Sound Session, the first demo featuring the original five members from their debut, previously only available on a hidden cassette tape on the SUPER DELUXE EDITION's even more deluxe edition, Locked N' Loaded. Tracks 6-18 are pre-live studio sessions, previously known as the Live?!★@ Like a Suicide sessions. These were recorded in August 1986 at Pasha Music House, the studio of famed Quiet Riot producer Spencer Profar, and tracks 6-7 are said to have been produced by him. The first five tracks on Disc 2 are from the 1986 SOUND CITY SESSION, previously unavailable on the SUPER DELUXE EDITION. These newly leaked recordings offer the highest quality sound yet, including the first appearance of "CORNSHUCKER STOMP" featuring Duff on vocals. The second half, tracks 6-16, are from writing sessions at West Arkeen's studio, aka Hell House, from September 1986 to early 1987. While these sessions already included tracks from their follow-up album, "USE YOUR ILLUSION," they also include the unreleased track "CRASH DIET." The first half of Disc 3 features outtakes from "GN'R LIES," also leaked by former manager Alan Nevin. The second half of the set features alternate mixes and versions from singles and promo discs, and together with the Super Deluxe Edition, this is an item that efficiently covers almost everything, including demo sessions and studio outtakes from "Appetite for Destruction" to "Lies"!
