The "Not in This Lifetime Tour" finally arrives in Japan in January 2017! The highly anticipated fourth day of the tour, the first performance in Tokyo, has been completely recorded with a top-quality audience recording! The familiar XAVEL label delivers this ultra-high-quality professional sound source! The powerful original audience master recorded in front of the venue's VIP standing block is used as the main source, and the IEM source used by Axel is partially mixed in to further enhance the sound image. This supreme live document boasts a clear, direct, and ideal sound balance that makes it hard to believe it was recorded in such a large venue!
After traveling to Osaka, Kobe, and Yokohama, the band finally arrived for their final two-day Tokyo performance. Anticipation was building as the band, led by Axel, continued to improve, and the result was a stunning performance that could be called the highlight of this tour, delivered night after night. On this opening night, after "Sweet Child..." they performed two songs, "Used To Love Her" and "Out Ta Get Me," which alternated daily, and between Slash and Richard's guitar duo "Wish You Were Here" and "November Rain," they brought back the ending part of "Layla" for the first time in a long time. For the encore, following the intro to LED ZEPPELIN's "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You," Axl appeared wearing a cap with a fancy cat figurine. His sudden laughter at the start of the song was symbolic, as he delivered a fantastic performance that was both cheerful and hyper throughout. Enjoy the Tokyo premiere, one of the best performances of the reunion tour, to the fullest with the astonishing high-quality sound of this XAVEL edition! In addition, the XAVEL label is also planning to release a full-scale "IEM full matrix sound source" after this, but since it will take a huge amount of time to produce, we hope you will enjoy this "other-dimensional audience sound source" for the time being.
