The "Not in This Lifetime Tour" finally arrives in Japan in January 2017! The tour's final day, the second day in Tokyo, was completely captured in a top-quality audience recording! The familiar XAVEL label delivers this ultra-high-quality professional sound source! The powerful original audience master, recorded in front of the venue's VIP standing block, was used as the main source, and Axel's IEM source was partially mixed in to enhance the sound image. This ultimate live document boasts a clear, direct, and ideal sound balance that makes it hard to believe it was recorded in such a large venue!
After traveling to Osaka, Kobe, and Yokohama, the band finally arrived for their final two-day Tokyo performance. Anticipation was building as the band, led by Axel, continued to improve, and the result was a stunning performance that could be called the highlight of this tour. On this second day, J performed two songs, "Yesterdays" and "My Michelle," in the alternating parts following "Sweet Child." In particular, "Yesterdays," which made its first appearance on the Japan tour, was surely a deeply moving moment for the many fans who had been waiting for this moment. Following on from the previous night, the ending part of "Layla" was also included in the set, and the encore consisted of a satisfying four songs. The band, led by Axel, galloped along as one, showing no sign of fatigue from consecutive performances. In the end, it was a rousing 2 hours and 50 minutes of performance, the longest of the tour. Just like the previous day, this final Tokyo performance was one of the best performances of the reunion tour, so enjoy it to the fullest with the astonishing high-quality sound of this XAVEL edition!
The XAVEL label is also planning to release a full-scale "IEM full matrix sound source" shortly, but due to the enormous amount of time required for production, for the time being, we hope you will enjoy this "other-dimensional audience sound source."
