The XAVEL label released a stunning multi-IEM matrix sound source at the 2016 Las Vegas shows, the grand opening stage of the "NOT IN THIS LIFETIME" tour. Now, the "Japan Tour Definitive Edition Series," which will be released in stages, delivers stunning sound quality that surpasses even the two-day Las Vegas performance.
The first release is from the tour's premiere performance, the Osaka show on January 21st at Kyocera Dome. This Osaka performance, painstakingly crafted over a long period of time, delivers undeniably high-quality sound that won't disappoint! The miraculous sound captures all the instruments, centered around Axl and Slash, with superb balance, positioning, and clarity, sure to leave any gunner in awe! A malfunction in Axl's IEMs caused the vocals to sound a little off on two tracks, "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "November Rain," but other than that, the balance is truly amazing! Of course, Axl's off-mic calls, like "Bring me some water!", have been beautifully omitted, allowing you to concentrate on the performance with peace of mind.
As the first stop on the 2017 tour, this Osaka performance attracted the attention of fans from all over the world. Looking back, however, in terms of "quantity," such as the setlist and performance time, it may seem a little inferior to the subsequent shows. However, looking back at this opening night with this "violently superb sound," which realistically conveys the sparks flying between the two powerful personalities of Axl and Slash, I guarantee that everyone will be blown away by the high quality of this miraculous opening night performance, brought to life by a spirited performance by a band that seemed fully charged and fired up, and by gunners all over Japan who greeted it with such intense excitement that it was almost about to explode! Although various sound sources were released on the first day of the Osaka performance, this title, which the XAVEL label confidently releases to the world, is of a completely different dimension of ultra-quality, so please buy it as if you were on board the big ship as the literal "final version"!
