This is a live recording from February 16, 1988, in France. This live performance, recorded from a very high-quality soundboard, has spawned numerous titles over the years. Initially, the venue was listed as the Palais Paul Videl. It has now been identified as the Théâtre Colonne, and that is the venue credited here. This is said to be the last live performance of Miles Davis's band featuring bassist Darryl Jones, now well-known for his work with the Rolling Stones. While the bass has been slightly remastered to enhance the low end, as mentioned earlier, the original sound quality was already quite high, so the improvement may not be very noticeable.
