30 Years Of Unreleased Funk Vol.1(2CDR)
CD 1
01: Just As Long As We're Together (Unreleased version) 5:51
Recorded in December 1976 in Sound 80 Studios this is one of the first known recordings Prince ever did by himself.
He played all instruments and produced the track all alone.
At the same recording session he did: You Really Get To Me, In Love, Instrumental, and Love In The Morning.
02: Tick Tick Bang (Unreleased version) 3:12
Recorded in June 1981 in the Controversy sessions. It was later re-recorded to be included on Graffiti Bridge.
03: Broken (Demo version) 2:59
Broken (which is also known as "Broken, Lonely and Crying) was recorded in 1981.
Another version has been circulating but this is the one finalized by Prince.
It has not been officially released but it was played on numerous shows in 1981-82.
04: Turn It Up (Unreleased version) 5:10
"Turn It Up" was recorded during the "What Time Is It?" sessions meant for The Time on January 20th, 1982.
It's not clear if this originally was meant to be on the album or just a break in the sessions.
Later it was slated for the album "1999" but was ditched when Prince found "Delirious" to be a better track (what he was right to believe).
05: D.M.S.R. (Unreleased version) 6:23
Recorded on April 20th, 1982. This version differs in many ways from the later released versions.
In some aspects it's actually hard to see this as the party crasher as later described by Prince.
But the energy is there and keeps the body fluids at high sensation.
06: Something In The Water (Does Not Compute) (Unreleased version) 4:09
Recorded April 20th, 1982. It has never been clear if this was intended for any defined release or just something Prince made because feeling like it.
Still a great track.
07: Delirious (Unreleased version) 6:02
Recorded on May 9th, 1982. This is the first recording of the song which later would make it to "1999".
This is a great version and very apt to be better than the released version.
08: Computer Blue (Full Version - previously uncirculating) 14:04
This is the full never before circulating version of the song.
It has been rumored in many years to exist but this is the full version as Prince originally made it.
09: U Gotta Shake Something (Unreleased version) 15:19
This almost instrumental track was recorded December 30th 1985.
It's a nice track without being too much jazzy.
It was recorded together with "Voodoo Who", "Finest Whiskey", "A Couple Of Miles" which all are jazzier than this tune.
10: Witness 3:57
Recorded March 29, 1986. Also known as "Witness (For The Prosecution)".
CD 2:
01: Train 4:20
Originally recorded on July 7th, 1986.
Another version was included on Dream Factory (Not released album by Prince).
This version was later circulating in the fan community but as it was copied from tape the speed was wrong.
This is from the original recording and thus with correct pitch and speed.
02: Superfunkycalifragisexy (From The Dawn Sessions - not released) 7:13
First version of Superfunkycalifragisexy was recorded in September 1986 as part of "The Dawn" Sessions.
Later in another version this song would be included on "The Black Album" aka "The Funk Bible".
This version is very much different that the officially released version but more enjoyable as far as the funk goes.
03: Gangsta Glam - Clockin' The Jizz (Hurley's House Dub) 6:41
One of six tracks made to support this release.
Never released as intended.
This one is from the original master.
04: Player 3:56
This was recorded in late 1991 and although it makes a connections to "Money Don't Matter Tonight" in the musical aspect anyway it's more in the realm of "The Symbol" album it was recorded.
Together with "I Wonder" and "Last Dance" it seems like Price was not entirely sure about which way to continue.
The Symbol album is a nice narrative and a complicate musical scheme so these tracks wouldn't have worked there.
But on their own they're beautiful.
05: I'll Do Anything - O(+> version (Demo version) 3:32
Recorded in Melbourne at the Platinum Studios in March 1992.
06: Make Believe - Funk Version (From I'll Do Anything soundtrack - unreleased) 2:44
07: Be My Mirror (From I'll Do Anything soundtrack - unreleased) 2:46
08: I can't Love You Anymore (From I'll Do Anything soundtrack - unreleased) 3:16
The soundtrack of the unreleased movie has not yet appeared in full.
09: Ice Cube Black Sweat Remix (Only played once at the LA 3121 party first night 2006) 7:39
This was only played ONCE at the 3121 Winners Party in LA 2006. Later the Acetate disappeared and this is the first time the track appears in public.
This is simply shocking! A collection of Prince outtakes, featuring completely unreleased takes! Is it true? Yes, it is! Finally, the Pure Funk label is releasing this! This label is truly amazing! While the recordings themselves were likely leaked by someone who owned a previously scheduled collection of outtakes, this release contains some incredible, never-before-seen material! The Work series has long been considered the pinnacle of outtakes, but this release threatens to upend The Work's legacy. Fans will appreciate the incredible release of this unreleased title! Starting with "Just As Long As We're Together," featuring some chatter, the sound quality is superb. While familiar from early Studio Nights recordings from the '80s, the slight differences in mastering, particularly the emphasis on the drums and bassline, allow for a much clearer, more enjoyable jam experience. All of the tracks are official quality. And there's also a rare, almost fully completed version of "Broken," performed entirely by Prince! But these are just the beginning. There's something amazing! It's been rumored, but it does exist! This is the first ever full-length, 14-minute, 3-second version of Computer Blue! While there have been versions in the past that closely resemble this, spliced together in various ways, this is the real deal! This is Computer Blue with all the effects! The endless stream of cool jams and call-and-response sequences, ending with a bizarre guitar noise, is an epic must-listen! Disc 1 closes with an enhanced version of Witness. And then there's Train, another version of Dream Factory's most popular track, famous for their unreleased album! This is a remastered and enhanced version of the faster version recently available only on Top Trader! And then there's Superfunkicalifragisexy, said to be from the shocking The Dawn sessions, with its cool cuts, chants, and keyboard phrases in the second half! And now, Gangsta Glam's "Clockin' the Jizz" was recorded from the original tapes, with the Player also receiving improved sound quality. And now, the highlight of this set! This includes a completely unreleased take of the unreleased soundtrack "I'll Do Anything," recorded at Platinum Studios in Melbourne! This classic hits your ears in a demo version featuring Prince's completely loose piano, his husky, cool vocals, and even a rap in the second half! The never-before-heard vocal riff at the end will bring you to tears! A classic is a classic no matter what form you hear it in! Prince, the man behind the unreleased takes! And there's even an even more amazing version! A funky version of "Make Believe" from the "I'll Do Anything" sessions! This incredible take makes the funky "Make Believe" even funkier! With guitar cutting, booming bass, and horns reminiscent of Black MF In The House, and a vocal breakdown from Make Believe, this is Prince funk at its finest! The "Hot Pants!" chant is reminiscent of JB, and it's a heart-pounding, dance-ready track! The abrupt ending with a honky-tonk piano is so refreshing! Cool! Thanks for leaking it! And the final track is a rare one: Black Sweat, remixed by Ice Cube. Rumor has it that this was performed only once, at the Winners Party at 3121 House in LA in 2006. Combining a long, hip-hop intro with Prince's studio version, this cool take could almost be considered a longer version! This funky number, hidden for 30 years, has been unexpectedly released in 2007, making it a must-have for everyone!

Why did these outtakes suddenly leak out of thin air? Prince fans are in tears of joy! It's a blessing to be alive! There was a sequel to 30 Years Unreleased Funk! It's finally here! Vol. 1 is a masterpiece, packed to the brim with the best unreleased outtakes ever! Vol. 2, featuring late-'80s outtakes centered around the ultimate, fully extended version of "God Is Alive," is presented in official quality, surpassing anything seen before. The sessions for the New Power Generation Remix EP have also been remastered from existing tapes, allowing you to enjoy the full sound. Furthermore, "Thunder Ballet" features a complete studio take, sans audience noise, for official-quality sound. "Standing At The Alter" was recorded a few days before the released version, a rare take still featuring Prince's involvement. Also included are the completely unreleased Willing And Able, a live-feeling studio take of Live 4 Love, and a never-before-heard version of a Gangsta Glam remix, all in official quality. A hidden, soulful, unreleased take of Rosie Gaines' version of Exploading All Over Europe is also included. The P is reborn in its highest quality yet, a rare version from a 2gether promo cassette, and an early take from Race's Glam Slam Ulysses, all in the highest quality original! Calhourn Square features a different mix of vocals and guitar. Plus, a take from a rare cassette tape called The Good Life Exodus Sampler... This compilation, only available to connoisseurs, is a must-see. Vol. 3 is even more impressive for any Prince fan. Wow, the only song from I'll Do Anything that Prince never had a version of, finally features a take with Prince-inspired vocals and backing, albeit cheesy. And that's not all! Disc 2 features Prince's complete "I'll Do Anything" sessions, as well as previously recorded takes for the film, compiled and organized! It's also a new discovery: Prince created never-before-heard instrumentals for the musical! It's clear that Prince took complete initiative and direction, making this a truly stand-alone release. And what's even more impressive is Disc 1, the first configuration of the "Graffiti Bridge" album, presented in the finest official audio quality! Created as a single album of roughly 40 minutes, it features different versions of "Can't Stop Feeling I Got," "Elephant & Flowers," a guitar-fueled version of Graffiti Bridge, and a punk version resembling an early version of "Tick Tick Bang." These unusual arrangements combine to create a single album that somehow sounds like a rock album, making this a must-have alternate album for fans! It wouldn't be surprising if this album was released on its own! What a luxury! CD3 features outtakes of Graffiti Bridge, a longer version of Round & Round, a different version of Melody Cool with a different first half, bonus outtakes in the highest quality ever, and bonus never-before-heard phrases and narration for I Hate U. There's also a different version of Sarah...official album-quality, with never-before-heard phrases. Amazing!!! This is the biggest event of the year! A must-have for all Prince fans, it's finally here! A must-have collection of outtakes!!!
