From Sting's 2017 Japan tour, which saw him promote his latest album, "57th Street, 9th Avenue, New York," comes a fully recorded 2-CD set featuring the first performance at Nippon Budokan on June 6th, complete with astonishing miracle sound! This next-generation live recording from the familiar XAVEL label is an astounding title that surpasses even the finest stereo soundboard recordings! It uses the original, unreleased master, a stereo mix of the on-stage monitor speaker soundboard, multiple stereo IEMs, and original audience recordings. From Sting's vocals and bass in the center, Dominic on the left channel, and Rufus on the right channel, perfectly separated guitars, Josh on drums, and Joe + The Last Bandoleros' backup vocals and accordion, every part of this tour's spectacular stage is captured in perfect sound balance. The XAVEL label blew fans away with the overwhelming level of perfection in the pre-release Osaka performance, but this Budokan performance surpasses even that with perfect sound quality! It's truly amazing!!
The stage kicked off with a majestic performance of the new song "Heading South on the Great North Road" performed by Sting, Dominic, Rufus, and Joe. After a two-part opening act by Sting's eldest son, Joe Sumner, and the Last Bandoleros, the show finally launched into the main part of the live performance by the new Sting Band, who are finally making their long-awaited appearance before Japanese fans. This title is a satisfying work that perfectly captures all of the performances that took place on this day, spanning a total of 2 hours and 20 minutes, with the highest sound quality throughout, just as they were performed on stage that day! This is a wonderful title that allows you to enjoy the "double father-son hawk collaboration" of Sting & Joe and Dominic & Rufus, the highlight of this tour, with perfect sound balance and separation!
