The Rolling Stones' secret Paris gig, held in October 2012, ahead of their tour and garnering much attention from fans, is finally available on a complete press CD! A fitting 50th anniversary celebration, the setlist, unique to a club gig, kicks off with "Route 66" and includes songs not performed on the tour, such as "Shattered" and "When the Whip Comes Down." The label's original, overseas-produced remaster captures this rare performance with even greater clarity than the audience recordings available. Bonus recordings of a secret rehearsal in Paris make this a must-have collector's item! [Content Details] The annual warm-up gig, held at the Paris club "Le Travende" on October 25, 2012, was suddenly announced for just 15 euros, and unsurprisingly, sold out immediately, unlike the London and New York shows, which made headlines for their sky-high ticket prices. This 70-minute secret gig took place in front of a lucky crowd of approximately 700. The band performed a total of 12 songs, including "Route 66" from their debut album and the new track "Doom and Gloom." This setlist, which included exclusive live performances of "Shattered" and "When the Whip Comes Down," as well as "Champagne and Reefa," a performance prior to their O2 performance, made for a truly special club gig experience. Security was tight at the venue, and unlike their London and New York shows, video and audio footage were rarely available on YouTube, making this highly anticipated recording a long-awaited experience. While not the best audience recording due to the challenging circumstances, this is the only complete recording available. While the recordings on this release are identical to the originals initially released, the label's proprietary acquisition and mastering ensures they are of the highest quality, even more accessible than ever before. The bonus track also includes a recording of a secret rehearsal held in Paris. This is a secret recording from outside, but it is also a valuable record.
